Licensed Journeyman Electrician - Posting #26581

Hourly Rate: $45.00 - $55.00

Annual Salary: $93,600 - $114,400

Position Summary:

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Licensed Journeyman Electrician. The candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial settings. This position will travel to Sea Mar's clinics and residential sites throughout western Washington, but will be based out of Seattle. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment.

  • Perform troubleshooting to identify electrical issues and implement solutions.

  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, to identify hazards and defects.

  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards in all work performed. 

  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as contractors and engineers, to complete projects.

  • Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.

  • Provide guidance and training if required to junior electricians.

  • Stay informed about new technologies and advancements in the field of electrical work.

Work environment:

Licensed journeyman electricians typically work full-time hours, which may include evenings, weekends and overtime. They may work indoors or outdoors, depending on the project requirements. The job can be physically demanding and may involve working in tight spaces or at heights.

Qualifications:

  • Valid journeyman electrician license.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Additional certifications in specialist areas of electrical work (e.g. HVAC systems).

  • Experience working in residential and commercial settings.

  • Familiarity with electrical designs, software, and tools.
