Mott MacDonald (MM) is an international engineering firm with a dedicated hydrogeology division based in Seattle, Washington. Our hydrogeologists serve a wide range of clients including private industry, attorneys, water purveyors, public utilities, and governmental bodies. Our projects range from hydrogeologic characterization to remedial investigations/feasibility studies to water resource management. We also support stormwater, reclaimed water, and aquifer recharge projects. You will work on a diverse range of projects, assisting the team with both field and office tasks including borehole drilling observation; aquifer test supervision and analysis; compliance and investigative groundwater and soil sampling; groundwater and soil quality evaluations; investigative design; and general data collection, review, analysis, and reporting. You will work as part of a team and also have opportunities to execute tasks independently. We will provide appropriate training and mentorship to assist you in your journey towards professional qualifications and licensure and support you in developing your career in the way that best suits your skills and aspirations. Could this opportunity be for you? If you have 1 to 3 years' experience working in the water resources or environmental consulting industry and a M.S. in hydrogeology, geology, environmental science or related field, then this could be the ideal role for you. Preferred qualifications and experience for the ideal candidate include: M.S. in hydrogeology, geology, environmental science, environmental engineering, or related field. Strong background or experience in hydrogeology and passed the GIT/EIT exam or able to within 1 year. Ability to know what is important, to observe important details, to integrate details into a global understanding, and to communicate that information effectively. Systematic and logical approach to problem solving. Experience in environmental fieldwork and field data collection. Experience in managing environmental data sets and preparing summary reports. Strong verbal and written communication. Strong organizational skills. Self-initiation. 40-hour hazardous waste training. Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle, as you may be required to travel to and around field sites throughout Washington State. You will be reimbursed for mileage.
