Amazon Financial Analyst, Amazon Smart Vehicles in Seattle, Washington

The Amazon Smart Vehicles finance team is seeking a Financial Analyst to play a key role in shaping a strategically important part of the Amazon Devices business. This is an exciting opportunity to join this high growth business at Amazon.

Amazon Smart Vehicles vision is to bring Amazon’s digital serviced to the vehicle. The automotive cabin is going through a digital transformation and Amazon is leading the way with offerings like Alexa in the vehicle. With Alexa in the car, customers can use their voice to play music, control in-cabin comfort features like AC/heater, control smart home devices from the car, and access tens of thousands of skills built by third-party developers – all while keeping their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.

This role will support the Amazon Smart Vehicles team to help drive growth of this business by providing analytical insights to business and finance leaders, driving core financial and business processes and goal setting.

Key job responsibilities

Develop high quality, data-driven financial analyses that drive business insights and support informed decision-making by leadership

Develop relationships with business teams, implement new processes and drive continuous improvement

Partner with stakeholders including Business Development, Product, Commercial and UX to deliver accurate Opex planning

Support Annual Forecasting for customer funnel metrics

Drive Month End Opex reporting and monthly financial reviews

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of finance experience

  • 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience

  • 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills

  • Experience using data to influence business decisions

  • Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $51,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $109,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
