Amazon Finance Manager, WW Stores Managerial Finance in Seattle, Washington

Description

The WW Stores Managerial Finance (FP&A) team is looking to hire a Finance Manager to join the team. The Finance Manager will be supporting the day to day Managerial reporting across Amazon’s 20+ marketplaces and be a strategic advisor to partner teams.

Key job responsibilities

  • Bridging mechanisms between Amazon’s internal data warehouse and financial systems to identify gaps and working with stakeholders to prioritize data corrections and reconciliations

  • Setting up deep dive infrastructure for explaining day to day trends for Topline metrics, including deep diving non-financial drivers such as Speed, In Stock and over 100+ metrics that may be tied back to changes in customer orders

  • Being a liaison between business customers and partner data engineering teams and working on defining and implementing technical solutions for business growth including setting standardized definitions and treatment of tax, cross marketplace export sales and specialty businesses such as Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market

  • Developing and maintenance of defined data security and audit mechanisms to mitigate risk across the full suite of WW Finance Managerial reporting spanning over 3000+ customers

  • Support of the Operations Business Review for the head of Amazon Operations and Weekly Follow Up Processes for Director and VP Partners, escalating when needed for business urgency

Basic Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
