Amazon Finance Manager, Topline, International Stores FP&A in Seattle, Washington
Description
Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to support International Topline. The individual will be a leader with experience in finance and interest in economics and data analytics. The leader will partner with a team of Economists, research scientists, data scientists and BI engineers who forecast growth rates and volumes. This person will also partner with stakeholders across business functions to represent and validate forecast assumptions, mechanics, and outputs. The ability to communicate crisply, generate timely and insightful analysis, and provide controllership through auditing are important skills in this role. It requires partnership with business, operations, transportation, and finance teams to identify opportunities for improvements in forecasting coverage and accuracy.
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as senior contributor for topline in the International FP&A team
Manage and run month-end close processes and reporting
Create mechanisms to audit the forecasts at various granularities
Identify and develop opportunities with the business team which improve forecast accuracy and coverage
Highlight risks and opportunities to the forecast
Location - Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA (HQ2)
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
