Amazon Finance Manager, FBA Product and Technology in Seattle, Washington

Amazon’s World-Wide Fulfillment By Amazon (WW FBA) organization is looking for an innovative, results-oriented and strategic Finance Manager to partner with WW FBA Product, Tech and Operations leadership team and lead the growth into this complex but fast-growing space. This Finance professional will help steward our growth into this complex but fast-growing space as a strategic and operationally-minded leader who is not afraid of ambiguity and challenges the status quo.

The ideal candidate will shine in ambiguous situations, navigating between the details and big picture, playing a primary role as owner of some our organization’s most visible mechanisms and artifacts (e.g., weekly business reviews, quarterly business reviews, annual operating plans, 3-year vision plans). They will partner with WW FBA Product, Tech and Operations leadership team to develop and drive operational processes (Business Reviews, Finance and Operations, Goal Management), people-driven programs, technical programs (ability to understand complex technology-driven initiatives and programs). They are able to influence successfully at all levels, think strategically, are a talented Finance Manager, strong organizer, take initiative, and operate effectively across many teams. This candidate sees around corners, is biased for action in ensuring the team is set up for success in achieving our goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee financial reporting for your business area. Understand input drivers and validate integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning. Use data to identify disruptive ideas and provide advice to business leaders across the globe

  • Develop and implement forecast processes and best practices that improve accuracy and quickly identify risks and opportunities

  • Prioritizing Controllership, you identify, resolve, or provide guidance to resolve, complex data integrity issues. You improve controls to address financial risk and support frugality

  • Educate business partners on financial and non-financial trade-offs. You make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be scarce or difficult to procure

  • You listen attentively and communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjust style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly. Your communications drive critical business decisions

  • Collects and analyzes data to develop insightful reports that drive business performance and cost reductions

  • Have backbone, disagree and commit to foster constructive dialogues, harmonize conflicting views, resolve issues, and drive decisions

  • You exhibit social responsibility. Actively recruit bar-raising talent, continuously develop your team, and constructively mentor the Finance community

  • Identify and sponsor Finance-wide professional development and engagement initiatives that plan for the future and strengthen the global Finance community, such as inclusion and diversity initiatives

  • Become an expert in your lane to contribute to work-life harmony. You are a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members and model operations excellence and efficiency

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of finance work with progressively increasing levels of responsibility experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in finance or a related analytical field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
