Providence St. Joseph Health Facilities Technician *On Site, Part Time, Days* in Seattle, Washington

Description Facilities Technician On Site, Part Time, Days The ideal candidate for this position is someone who wants to make a difference in some of the biggest challenges facing Seattle: homelessness and affordable housing. Providence Supportive Housing provides quality, permanent housing for low-income residents in the area. We value the relationships all staff members create with residents. Because of this, there is plenty of time to complete all work to allow connections with residents. This position will be responsible for all maintenance needs in one, 24-unit building. This is a non-supervisory position. The Facilities Technician position is a skilled trade and management position requiring familiarity with and abilities in a wide range of technical areas essential to the ongoing habitability and viability of every component of multi-family housing including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and mechanical replacement and repair, apartment turnover, emergency response and repairs, and implementation of a preventative maintenance schedule (PMS). The Facilities Technician shares responsibility with Regional Housing Director/Housing Director for finalizing capital needs assessment (CNA) reports and the incorporation of CNA data into the PMS and replacement schedule. The Facilities Technician has primary responsibility for the appearance of the property and provides assurance that repair and replacement activity work is completed to the highest industry specific standards. Required Qualifications: 2 years - Providing maintenance technician services in multi-family settings. Preferred Qualifications: Coursework/Training - Some formal training in skilled trades.
