Amazon Executive Communications Manager, Amazon Business in Seattle, Washington
Description
Amazon is seeking an Executive Communications Manager to join its Amazon Business Communications team in Seattle, WA. This role will support the Global Vice President and head of Amazon Business with external media engagements, event participation, speaking opportunities, and internal communications. This person will build out a proactive program for the leader that focuses on Amazon Business’ innovation and operational excellence, and how Amazon Business – one of the fastest-growing ventures in Amazon’s history reaching $35 billion in annualized sales in 2023 – helps customers save time and money.
The successful candidate will be a strategic, high-judgement, and opportunistic professional who can work across teams to tell compelling stories via the most effective media and channels. This individual will have very high standards, be a team player, and will have the demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic organization, and be able to manage multiple internal and external priorities at once. The successful candidate will have experience working with and providing counsel to senior leaders, and will have the confidence and know-how to guide their communications activities and write high-quality, digestible content.
Key job responsibilities
• Experience developing executive level content and communications in a variety of formats (e.g., media interviews, press releases/blogs, internal communications, presentations, whitepapers, etc.)
• Exceptional copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to articulate a clear point of view in clear, concise communications.
• Partner with various teams to build content strategy for events, speaking opportunities, and internal communications in alignment with business goals and priorities, and brand messaging
• Manage a communications content calendar inclusive external and internal opportunities that highlight how Amazon Business supports its customers.
• Demonstrated executive presence, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to influence others.
• Collaborate across internal teams and agency partners to drive strategies to deliver on objectives and measure the impact of communications programs.
• Engage and build relationships with reporters from key media outlets.
• Experience leading communications for senior executives.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Deep understanding of media relations.
Ability to drive progress and earn trust while working across multiple teams.
Creative and entrepreneurial thinking.
Positive, can-do attitude.
Solid judgment, particularly in narrow time frames.
Experience working directly with media and maintaining relationships over time.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
