Acosta Group eCommerce Business Analyst in Seattle, Washington

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a Business/SME liaison back to the business leadership or IT Staff to influence, manage change, and educate for priority setting to ensure business commitments and objectives are met.

  • Create PowerBI dashboards from scratch

  • Participate in cross-functional work sessions with both the business and IT customers to capture stakeholder needs and required system requirements/features.

  • Involved in creating the Project Charter, SLA, and Statements of Work. Participate in the development, documentation, and analysis of detailed functional requirements via system Use Cases and Use Case Realizations.

  • Partners with the Project Manager while identifying resources to accomplish the goals and objectives of the project.

  • Participate in the development of system solution design for existing and new capabilities using a thorough understanding of business process and requirements as well as system capabilities and architecture.

  • Participate in multi-departmental, small, and medium to large projects and change initiatives.

  • Initiate problem analysis, explore solutions, and prepare and present information.

  • Participate in client meetings and engage clients when appropriate.

  • Provide customer support and post-implementation monitoring during the initial rollout.

  • Conduct and assist QualityAssurance with the development of testing criteria.

  • Assist and mentoring to Business Analyst I.

Some Essential Functions of this Position:

  • Drive requirements-gathering sessions independently or in conjunction with BAIII assistance. (JAD/JAR sessions)

  • Strong competency in the requirements management processes and quality assurance (Testing) processes.

  • Deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations when necessary.

  • Communicate with confidence and facts (supported by analysis and data) the impacts of scope changes on the delivery of projects.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, internal partners, customers, and others through the use of stronginterpersonal skills.

  • Coordinate with respective areas to resolve issues and develop processes to accomplish shared goals.

  • Utilize rigorous logic and methods to analyze and understandwhy problems occur.

  • Generate and implement creative, cost-effective, and realistic solutions.

  • Obtain cooperation from others, seek and encourage win-win alternatives and be effective at conflict resolution.

  • Effectively deal with change in a fast-paced demanding environment while maintaining a positive and cooperative attitude.

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Bachelor of Arts Degree OR

  • Bachelor of Science Degree

Experience Requirement:

  • 4 to 6 years experience designing technical business processes.

  • Project Management Methodology ( PMM ) including the development of project documentation.

  • Use Case development.

  • JAD/JAR sessions including functional and technical requirement gathering, development, and translation totechnical teams.

  • A nalytical tools , and flowcharting tools such as Visio.

  • Work both independently and in a team environment.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:

  • Ability to shift priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Competent and good understanding of platforms such as Windows and UNIX.

  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle Methodology ( SDLC ).

  • Testing knowledge across various testing cycles.

  • Solid knowledge of current Internet, Intranet, Extranet, client-server architectures including SharePoint.

  • A certificate from a Business Analysis accreditation institution is preferred, but not required.

  • Strong verbal communication skills.

Open to anywhere in the United States.You will represent the business community and IT in prioritizing, analyzing, and documenting business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement/enhancements, and negotiating agreements and commitments between business partners (internal and external) and IT from requirements gathering to final implementation and maintenance. This role requires advanced PowerBI skills.You will work directly with clients/leadership at various levels within the company and with outside parties to research and identify operational business requirements with sufficient detail and clarity to allow IT staff to collaboratively develop the solution.
