UW Information Technology (UW-IT) is the central information technology organization for the University of Washington, responsible for strategic planning, oversight, and direction of the UW’s IT infrastructure, resources, and services. UW-IT provides critical technology support to all three campuses, UW Medicine, and research operations around the world, partnering with the UW community to enable innovation, learning, discovery, and service."

The Contracts Administration Manager at UW-IT within the Finance & Business Operations Unit plays a critical role in ensuring the effective management and administration of contracts related to information technology services and solutions including software licensing, cloud/hosting solutions, and IT infrastructure. This position is designed to uphold the University's fiscal integrity, mitigate legal risks, and facilitate successful collaboration between UW-IT and external vendors. The Contracts Administration Manager will contribute to the development and implementation of contract management strategies, ensuring compliance with University policies and applicable regulations. The Contracts Administration Manager will employ vendor risk management practices in partnership with the Office of Information Security.

REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s Degree inBusiness Law, Business Administration or related field or experience. • Six to eight years’ experience in contract administration, preferably in the information technology sector. • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks related to contracts. • Demonstrated negotiation and analytical skills. • Familiarity with contract management tools and software. • Demonstrated excellent written/oral communication skills and user interaction ability.

DESIRED: • Understanding of information technology licenses and contracts. • Experience working in a complex organization • Ability to leverage communications tools to share relevant information to internal stakeholders. • Ability to advance efforts to achieve cost reductions and economies of scale through negotiation skills and UW partner engagement in contracts negotiations. • Work experience in a large public sector organization.
