1 Job Locations US-WA-Seattle Category Construction Inspector Type Regular Full-Time Overview NV5 is currently seeking a Construction Inspector who will be entrusted with significant responsibility across a diverse array of projects spanning municipal infrastructure, public works, water and wastewater systems, signal installations, and transportation networks. Your overarching goal will be to uphold the highest standards of excellence by meticulously enforcing compliance with approved plans and specifications, serving as the primary liaison between the construction Contractor and our valued clients. Responsibilities Engage with supervisory personnel, contractors, and design professionals to address and resolve construction-related matters. Oversee the Contractor's work activities, ensuring alignment with project plans and schedules. Monitor project costs and schedules, promptly addressing any critical path deviations. Conduct thorough construction inspections to guarantee compliance with specifications. Provide clear interpretations of plans and contract terms to stakeholders. Proactively recommend solutions for delays or emergencies, keeping projects on track and within budget. Represent NV5 to external entities, fostering strong client relations and understanding client needs. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent; technical field education preferred. Demonstrated experience and knowledge in civil construction principles, particularly in municipal and public works, water and wastewater systems, or transportation projects. Familiarity with relevant building codes and engineering practices. Preference for candidates with valid Group II certifications. Proven experience in construction oversight. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate across all levels of construction. Proficiency in coordinating multiple complex projects. Strong conflict resolution skills and a commitment to safety awareness. Preference for five or more years of related experience. Advantageous to hold Group II Construction Inspection Certificates or similar valid construction certifications. Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to adapt to various construction-related software. Willingness to work in varied outdoor conditions and non-standard hours. Physical Requirements: Construction Inspectors predominantly operate from field offices/vehicles at construction sites, overseeing project progress and making on-the-spot decisions.
