Description Carpenter (268612) Schedule: FTE: 1.0, Day Specific duties of the carpenter include, but are not limited to, repairing of damaged, existing or the installation of new building wall, ceiling, flooring and furniture systems. Utilizes all basic carpenter tools and equipment. Must be able to construct and install counter tops, cabinets and able or willing to work with Corian. Able to perform repairs on all fire rated wall systems and repair fire doors and doors in general. Demolition of walls and casework is required. All tasks may be carried out in patient and staff occupied areas and shall be accomplished in such a manner so as not to disturb the normal flow of hospital work using current policies and procedures including those involving patient safety and infection control. Tasks may be carried out outdoors and are accomplished using a flexible schedule. Ability to work with little to no supervision. This position will be called upon to service off site clinics, Ambulatory Care Units as well as other main campuses, this includes driving company vehicles to and from said sites and product pick up. This position may also be called upon for a variety of other tasks including but not limited to: assisting in emergencies (fire response, flooding) inclement weather (snow removal) and other tasks as assigned.
