SUMMARY Responsible for providing day-to-day procedural guidance to current management and office software applications, as well as implementation support for new software applications. Oversees software utilization requirements, and the development, and implementation of new features. Extracts, massages, and analyzes large amounts of data in order to produce actionable insights. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Gathers, compiles, and produces relevant business analytics on departmental performances including production of performance metrics and opinions/suggestions for improvement opportunities; * Communicates compelling and concise analyses to enable business owners to make well informed decisions regarding options for problem resolution and opportunity realization; * Analyzes requirements and documents specifications for new system processes and enhancements; * Identifies and researches system problems for root cause. Analyzes and provides sound business solutions; * Work closely with customers, business managers and application programmers to define future system needs; * Reviews and analyzes user requests for business system enhancements. Determines the long and short term impact on workflow, reporting and programming requirements; * Acts as resource to provide guidance to system users and/or application programmers; * Trains users in proper utilization of business systems, including providing written procedures; * Works directly with application programmers to define the steps required to develop or modify computer programs; * Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information); * Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Two (2) or more years related work experience Insurance industry experience preferred SKILLS Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to create spreadsheets, file and operate general office equipment Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork Functional knowledge of data reporting/analysis tools and techniques (such as business objects, crystal, monarch, etc.); relational databases (such as DB2 Oracle, SQL) Working knowledge of identifying, documenting, and analyzing business and/or data requirements Understanding of the SDLC and Agile environment Working knowledge of data extraction techniques and applications Proficient in Microsoft Office products #LI-KG1 We are proud to provide comprehensive, high quality employee programs to meet employees' needs now and in the future, including a very competitive financial package.
