We’re looking for an amazing Business Analyst to fill this hybrid role which can be based in Seattle, WA or Miami, FL. You’ll play a critical role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technology solutions for the Fleet Applications & Digital Technology team for Holland America Line and Seabourn. You’ll be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. You’ll translate product requirements into detailed specifications, work closely with stakeholders to ensure business objectives are met and deliver an excellent user experience. Here’s a summary of what Holland America Line is looking for in its Business Analyst. Is this you?

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and facilitate interviews with users and subject matter experts for the purpose of identifying objectives and gathering requirements.

  • Maintain and write documentation for various applications used for development, support, and training.

  • Facilitate meetings, create agendas, transcribe minutes, and take minutes for multiple projects identifying key action items.

  • Lead mid-sized technical implementation projects.

  • Develop timelines, create roadmaps, and devise strategy for code releases, deployments to production, testing, and training.

  • Create detailed functional specifications.

  • Create regular status reports and project communications to Managers, Directors, and Executive Leadership.

  • Coordinate project activities including advising on systems under their purview, providing representation for our stakeholders/sponsors in meetings.

  • Utilize scrum methodology to refine backlog by working with product owners and team members; facilitate release planning; assist with dependency management and cross team coordinator.

  • Coordinate testing with QA team and the application users.

  • Provide software release notes and training documentation for application users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Application Development, IS, or Business.

  • CBAP, CCBA, CSM, PMI-PBA, PMI-ACB, Six Sigma (Green or Black) certifications highly preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a software development business analyst role as well as experience delivering business systems solutions in an enterprise IT environment.

  • Experience creating user stories, journey maps, process flows, and other analytical artifacts.

  • Skills in facilitating workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement gathering sessions.

  • Understanding of project management principles related to resource allocation and timelines.

  • Ability to document business requirements and workflows for enterprise applications

  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.

  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices including continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.

  • Knowledge of industry best practices for systems implementation, testing, and risk management.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).

  • Base Salary Range: $78,200.00-$105,600.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
