We are the Global Talent Management and Compensation team and our purpose is to use data to influence the way Amazon grows and scales our talent and compensation strategy for over a million employees worldwide. We are looking for a business analyst to join our team and support a new initiatives that seeks to establish Operational Excellence and Efficiency standards and framework for business intelligence professionals.
The right candidate wants to learn new ever-evolving technology, has experience manipulating data from multiple sources, and can partner effectively with stakeholders to convey information. They are curious and ask questions. They work backwards from the customer. They have performed business critical analyses and developed visualizations to better interpret data. They are detail oriented and can simplify complex problems into easy to understand analytical solutions.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
Experience with SQL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
