Aerotek Aerospace Technician in Seattle, Washington
Aerotek on behalf of it's client is seeking electrical- mechanical technicians preferably coming from the Aerospace, manufacturing, medical industries. Must have experience with electrical- mechanical assembly, final integration, and proficiency with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices. This is a 11 month contract. Pay is $30-36/hr DOE.
Job Description:
Assemble and test with emphasis to detail, an assortment of avionic LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, handle and install fiber-optics, and PCBAs
Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition system
Identify equipment requirements, process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory
You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance
Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical-mechanical assembly and final integration tasks.
Utilize precision torque, measurement, and inspection devices (e.g., automated and manual torque wrenches, torque drivers, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters).
Read, interpret, and work from blueprints or drawings.
Adhere to FOD, ESD sensitive hardware, and clean room requirements.
Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Adapt to rapidly changing roles and responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant high-traceability manufacturing
experience (aerospace, medical, or related field).
2+ years of hands-on work experience in
electrical-mechanical assembly and final integration.
1+ years of experience in a fast-paced production
environment.
1+ years of hands-on experience with precision torque,
measurement, and inspection devices, as well as standard hand tools.
Preferred Skills:
ASE certification and/or equivalent experience.
CFOT certification and/or equivalent experience.
1+ years of experience reading, interpreting, and working
from blueprints or drawings.
Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware, and
clean room requirements.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while
working in a high-paced, challenging work environment.
Prior military service is a plus.
