As you launch your career as a Risk Specialist at Amazon, you will focus on improving the success of the organization by diving deep into core areas of the company, partnering with Amazon’s cutting-edge businesses to identify areas of risk, analyze data, and solve real world problems. Risk Specialists add value and help protect Amazon in areas such as Internal Audit, Fraud and Forensics, AWS Risk Management, Vendor Investigations and Transaction Accuracy, Transportation Risk and Compliance, Global Financial Risk and Controls, Finance Operations Risk Intelligence, and Consumer Governance and Controls.

A key component of this role is to dive deep to understand complex business processes and identify risks related to processes, regulatory compliance, organization, policy and technology. You will participate in planning, scoping, execution and reporting of assessments based on identified risks. Through your work you will help develop meaningful findings that help in communicating the risk to the business. In this capacity, you will gain valuable exposure to many organizations, processes, and systems within our global business.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in business, economics, operations, accounting, finance, pre-law, engineering, mathematics, machine learning, statistics, symbolic systems, IT, or relevant field with a graduation conferral date between December 2025 and June 2026.

• Are 18 years of age or older

• Able to work 40 hours a week throughout the course of a 10 to 12-week summer internship

between May through September 2025.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 3.0 GPA

• Audit experience related to business processes, risk mitigation, program compliance, regulatory

compliance, internal audit, or other control and assurance functions.

• Desire to learn processes and ability to work independently and in a fast-paced work environment.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Demonstrates initiative, organizational and time management skills

• Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills

• Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $24.09/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $51.54/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
