IMMEDIATE NEED!!! Hiring for both locations Seaside and Astoria The Cashier/Hostess plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests by managing both the front-of-house operations and cashier responsibilities. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Basic math skills for handling transactions. Responsibilities: * Greeting and Seating: Warmly welcome guests as they arrive * Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to guests, addressing their needs and inquiries promptly and courteously. * Order Processing: Accurately take and relay food and beverage orders to the kitchen staff, ensuring all special requests are communicated clearly. * Cash Handling: Operate the cash register, process payments, and issue receipts. Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift. * Menu Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu, including daily specials, to assist guests with their selections. * Cleanliness and Organization: Ensure the front-of-house area, including the hostess stand and dining room, is clean and well-organized at all times. * Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues in a professional manner, escalating to management when necessary. * Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure efficient operation and a positive dining experience for guests.
