We are looking for a Night Shift Production Supervisor to join our team at our Sealy Sand & Gravel operation. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Night Shift Production Supervisor will oversee all plant operations, including safety, production, maintenance, and quality. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of our 1.3M ton/year sand and gravel plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the stripping and dredging operations to meet production goals.

  • Identify and implement necessary repairs and preventative maintenance.

  • Plan and schedule plant production to maximize productivity and resource utilization.

  • Supervise and direct production crews, providing coaching, feedback, and setting performance objectives.

  • Report daily production and track key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Ensure material production meets quality control standards.

  • Assist in optimizing the usage of existing reserves.

  • Schedule plant and mobile repair and maintenance with internal teams and external vendors.

  • Maintain proper staffing levels for plant efficiency.

  • Promote safe work habits and provide safe working conditions by leading daily huddle meetings and ensuring compliance with job procedures and safety policies.

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • 5 years of work experience in aggregate production or at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a related industry.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.

  • Working knowledge of a payroll timekeeping system, (Kronos preferred).

  • Working knowledge of overburden removal (stripping).

  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and respectfully.

  • Composure and the ability to professionally present information and respond to questions.

  • Ability, desire, and motivation to work in a dynamic environment with fluctuating shift schedules, extended periods of movement across the plant, and occasional lifting of heavy objects and working in confined spaces.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Working knowledge of sand & gravel dredging operations/production equipment and processes.

  • Analytical abilities and comfort with using data and objective information for decision-making.

  • Project team experience.

  • Experience in both union and non-union environments.

  • Capability and desire to become a plant manager in the future.

Work Environment: This role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
