Description Position Overview: As the Assistant Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial activities of the company. You will work closely with the Controller and other members of the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain internal controls, and contribute to strategic financial decisions. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll Manage the month-end and year-end close processes Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies Collaborate with the Controller on financial reporting to stakeholders Lead the implementation and optimization of ERP systems Manage inventory accounting processes and controls Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions Provide support for audits and tax filings Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage Retirement savings plan with company match Opportunities for detail oriented development and growth Collaborative and supportive work environment Convenient location in Dunmore, PA with easy access to major highways Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles in a manufacturing or distribution environment Strong understanding of ERP systems and experience with implementation and optimization Proficiency in inventory management and accounting Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness
