Position Summary
Plan, manage and execute delivery of QA tasks in support of I&T initiatives to provide efficiencies and quality products on time to our end customer.
Define, develop, maintain, and execute test scripts on time and escalate issues and risks as appropriate to ensure project stays on track.
Responsible for defect ownership from identification to closure.
Ensures the product testing is complete and of high quality prior to sign off.
May provide Subject Matter Expertise, to include test planning and identifying data, as required.
Required Qualifications
5+ years’ experience as a QA Manager
Contributes to the delivery and support of testing services
Identifies application and file deviations for correction or process improvement opportunities.
Supports the Agile team by providing input during grooming, requirements and design walkthroughs; contributing to the
development of features and mitigation of risks.
Contributes to the development of project priorities, task estimates and delivery schedules.
Identifies tests for automation and sets up automated test cases and suites for re-use.
Provides demos of new functionality and testing and consults on user acceptance criteria and feedback.
Defines, develops, and maintains test scripts.
Independently executes test plans and test scripts.
Independently validates results of test execution and actual vs. expected results.
Records and tracks defects uncovered during the execution of tests.
Actively participates in resolution; proposes and designs retest cases/scripts/data to retest defects;
Proactively escalates issues, problems, status to the Scrum Master and Product Owner and alerts/communicates with team on items of impact to ensure adherence
of the schedule.
Ensures timely and accurate entry of status, defect information and metrics to facilitate accurate/timely QA reporting at release level.
May participate in QA production certification tasks.
Identifies automation opportunities and implements on future project/release testing.
May be asked to run automation and validate actual against expected results.
Utilizes tools and methodologies to improve individual/team effectiveness and to increase efficiencies in the QA process.
Provides cross training of application/technical knowledge to other individuals within the organization.
Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
Secondary Responsibilities-
Provide expertise on one or more applications or technologies to support system teams.
May be requested to identify and request appropriate data based on testing requirements and types of tests to execute.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Agile Practices and Methodologies
Experience with automated test tools, modeling tools, test validation tools, change management tools and test case generation techniques required.
Experience consulting on and presenting test plans and results
Education
- BS with 3+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, or an equivalent combination of education andwork experience.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$60,300.00 - $132,600.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
