Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for Fully Remote Benefits Manager. This role is instrumental in the planning and administration of group benefit programs and ensuring compliance with regulations. It is also integral to the analysis and onboarding of new partner hospitals. Interested candidates must have prior experience in high volume M& A environments, including the analysis and recommendations of benefit programs and retirement plans.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement new benefits programs and suggest potential changes to benefit costs.
• Evaluate and compare our benefits offerings with industry standards and best-in-class employers.
• Serve as the primary contact for benefit brokers, plan vendors, and third-party administrators.
• Streamline internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and timely reporting.
• Coordinate daily benefits processing, including enrollments, terminations, and changes.
• Forecast company-wide benefit costs and trends on a regular basis.
• Stay up to date on changes to ERISA, COBRA, Workers Compensation, ACA, FMLA, and ADA to ensure proper administration.
• Administer the 401(k) plan in collaboration with the Director of Total Rewards and the larger Total Rewards team.
• Manage annual benefit renewals and evaluate non-participating hospital plans annually.
• Oversee projects related to M& A due diligence and benefits-related integration activities.
• Utilize accounting software systems and other tools like ADP, ADP HRB, ADP Workforce Now, Paycom and Ceridian for efficient benefits administration.
• Conduct audits and handle 401k - RRSP Administration, Benefit Functions, Claim Administration, and Cobra Administration duties.
Requirements
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role, specifically in benefits management.
• 2+ years of demonstrative leadership experience overseeing a team
• Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration.
• M& A related Due Diligence/Auditing skills, preferably in a benefits management context.
• Ability to manage Benefit Functions effectively.
• Experience with Leave Administration.
• Proficiency in Cobra Administration.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
