Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist (Direct permanent)
Location: North Scottsdale, AZ (On Site)
Compensation: $65K-$70K
Robert Half is partnering with a growing Transporation firm in the north valley seeking a permanent Accounts Payable Specialist. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and have an ability to accurately track and record cash flow autonomously. This is a fast-paced industry built on resiliency and a high level of commitment. Job Responsibilities:
Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper authorization and compliance.
Prepare and perform weekly check runs and electronic payments Verify/reconcile invoices, PO's and receiving documentation
Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving discrepancies and addressing inquiries promptly.
Communicate with vendors and respond promptly to inquiries regarding account/invoice status and payment issues
Review, reconcile and process Employee Expense Reimbursements according to company policies
Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs via check, ACH, wire transfers etc.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of daily transactions
Support Month End Close process related to payables activity and reporting
Assist with annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and information
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and resolve any outstanding discrepancies
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
A minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounts Payable is required, logistics or transportation industry experience highly preferred
Experience with Claims (Overages, shortages and Damages)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail & high level of accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
