USTRANSCOM – Junior Software Developer (Testing)

Job Description Summary:   

Team D&G comprised of D&G, Solerity, UNCOMN and Teradata as proven prime companies at Scott AFB are seeking an exceptional Junior Software Developer (Testing) in support of the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Integrated Data Environment & Global Transportation Network Convergence (IGC) Program. IGC provides a single place for access to common data, business services and information on material asset visibility and cohesive, integrated data services for the management of supply, distribution, and logistics to the combatant commands, military services, and other federal agencies. This is an outstanding opportunity to be a key member of a dynamic team developing innovative logistics solutions to sustain warfighter readiness and lethality.

Roles & Responsibilities:  

• Supports a wide range of software testing activities including writing test plans, executing tests, regression testing, performance testing, integration testing

• Writes test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenarios

• Supports the development of test plans and scripts with consideration to end to end system flow, execute test scripts according to application requirements documentation

• Executes manual and automated test scripts to ensure application software performs as specified

• Conducts software testing with test case management and defect tracking tools

• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, such as web designers, product managers, and QA team

Requirements:  

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution

• OR Bachelor’s degree (any field) + One of the certifications: FITSP-D, GCSA, GISF, SSCP

• 5 years of software testing experience with IT or IT related programs supporting DoD/Federal Agencies.

Eligibility Requirements:  

• DoD Secret Clearance

• This role is restricted to U.S. person(s) (ie., U.S. citizens, permanent residents and other protected individuals under the immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))  

Desired Skills:  

• Working knowledge of Selenium, Junit, Python, Java, jQuery, C# in Visual Studio; Computer aided software engineering tools; Scrum knowledge; Fortify; Java, JavaScript, SQL, Gitlab, Psql; SQL server, Oracle, RDS, DynamoDB; GIS; Cross-Platform mobile development.

• USTRANSCOM IT Systems Experience
