The Tissue Operator/Lead is an important role in the daily operations of our facilities. A variety of duties and responsibilities exist within this title. The types of responsibilities available are including but not limited to, performing various rendering and tissue processes, operating heavy equipment, charting and reporting progress and yields, and in many cases the use of tracking via computer, be trained in Lock Out Tag Out procedures, all while making safety and food safety the number one priorities.
While performing the duties, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces at varied heights; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment. Positions require standing or walking the entire shift, the use of stairs, and the use of PPE which is required in all areas of the facility.
Perform repetitive tasks. Examples include:
Maintaining Processes such as rendering and tissue processes
Tracking, reading, or creating reports manually or via computer
Ensuring food safety and quality
Cleanliness and housekeeping
Maintaining a safe working environment
• Able to read, write, and speak in English
• 18 years or older
• Ability to do basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Eligible to work in the US without a Visa sponsorship
• Previous experience in beef production/tissue department
• Previous Cargill Experience
• Basic computer skills
