Job Description

General Purpose:

Operate Individually Quick Frozen room equipment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate IQF tote dumpers to supply vegetables to the finish tanks on white dip run

  • Operate onion and jalapeno tote dumpers and dicers to supply blenders on salsa run

  • Monitor chlorine level of onion bath water during salsa run

  • Perform metal detector verification tests through out run of salsa

  • Perform hourly dicer inspections and clean according to outlined procedure on salsa run

  • Accurately document lot numbers

  • Manually dump boxes of IQF vegetables into the IQF dumper to supply vegetables to the finish tanks.

  • Operates forklift in safe manner.

  • Reports maintenance issues as they occur and submits work orders when necessary.

  • Follow all DFA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate, regulatory quality, and sanitation requirements.

  • Utilize scanners or thin client units to make SAP transaction for the purpose of maintain accurate inventory levels and ensuring reliable product traceability.

  • Perform items on the Master Sanitation lists when production is not running.

  • Handles cleaning chemicals in a safe manner utilizing safety equipment such as gloves, eyewear, etc.

  • Clear cardboard, trash, and excess pallets from Individually Quick Frozen room.

  • Maintain sanitary equipment conditions during production.

  • Maintain safe environment and perform other duties in a safe manner at all times.

  • Assists in training new operator.

  • Ability to function in a team based structure and positively contributes to team based efforts.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Shift Schedule 830PM-430AM - Monday - Friday

  • Starting Rate - $18.50 + .50/Hour Shift Differential - Shifts Starting at 2pm or Later

  • 90 Day Increase - $22.97/Hour

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Effectively Communicate Verbally & Written (English)
