SEEK CAREERS/STAFFING INC Winding Technician in SCHOFIELD, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The position involves setting up and operating winding machines, preparing mandrels and tooling, and operating ovens. Additionally, it requires mixing resins according to Traveler specifications, setting up a tensioner machine, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor or employer as needed. Responsibilities Read, understand, and interpret work instructions effectively. Assist with sandblasting, prep work, sanding, bonding, and polishing parts. Perform filament winding operations on tubes and cylinders. Follow procedures, engineering drawings, specifications, and test instructions for filament winding. Conduct filament winding tasks, including setup, resin mixing, winding, and clean-up. Provide input to engineers and management on needed or recommended changes in winding patterns. Execute work according to engineering drawings and both written and verbal instructions from management. Assemble and ship products on time that meet or exceed specifications. Perform product inspections and rework as necessary. Provide requested metrics and data related to winding operations. Ensure daily cleaning of all winding-related tools and equipment. Maintain knowledge of the AS9100 Quality System. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Winding Technician This Scofield manufacturer is looking to hire a DIRECT HIRE winding technician for their first shift. If you love working on machines and have a knack for all things mechanical, this is the position for you! Qualifications Experience with mechanical measurement tools (calipers, micrometers). Ability to follow calibration instructions. Knowledge of composite fibers and resins and familiarity with filament winding tools is a bonus. Skill in interpreting assembly drawings. Proficient with custom tooling and fixtures. Strong attention to detail for accurate assembly. Good hand dexterity for precise tasks. Organizational skills for part management. Commitment to cleanliness and safety. Ability to read work instructions and shop travelers. Basic computer literacy. Capable of independent and team work. Forklift operation skills. Basic reading and math skills. Adherence to quality policies and SOPs.
