Responsibilities You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist and primary logistics planner in the Support Operation. You will ensure future planning operations are sustainable and synchronized within the battalion. You will serve as a logistics planner on all Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) and the lead planner for logistics-focused OPTs. You will be responsible for logistics estimates (organic and contractor), participation in organization planning groups (OPGs) concerning logistics planning efforts, and ongoing updates to existing plans. You will perform detailed reviews, analyses, and studies relating to all logistics requirements in order to draw conclusions and to make specific plans. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting analysis of logistical plans, programs, and operations to determine necessary actions needed to plan, establish, develop, and implement logistical operations that are sustainable and synchronized. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Manages and Organizes Information Planning and Evaluating Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
