Job Title: Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in wiring, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.

  • Ensure compliance with state and local building regulations.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical systems and components.

  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and necessary repairs.

  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.

  • Utilize a variety of tools and equipment, including power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in the electrical service industry.

  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated and goal-driven.

  • Excellent understanding of electrical systems and components.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.

  • Knowledge of state and local building regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Troubleshooting

  • Conduit bending

  • Pulling wire

  • Experience with ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schenectady, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00
