Proctors Collaborative seeks an Assistant Food, Beverage & Sales Manager to join its food & beverage team. This is a full-time position that includes benefits. This position is responsible for assisting the Food, Beverage & Sales Manager to ensure consistency, cleanliness and quality in all aspects of the outlets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support all duties of the Food, Beverage & Sales Manager (F, B & S Manager)
Maintain the oversight of all food and beverage operations for banquets, café, theatre concessions and bar service in the absence of the F, B & S Manager
Assist as directed in:
Inventorying of all related food and beverage stock
Fielding inquiries for special events
Ensuring the success of planning and executing special events
Aiding consistency of proper food preparation
Scheduling of food service and bar personnel
Responding to rental inquiries
Oversee and act as house management liaison for banquet events
Ability to embrace a diverse staff and patron base
Maintain a clean, safe work environment that complies with all relevant health standards.
Willingness to recognize and accommodate a variety of client needs to include budgetary and cultural.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of five years in the hospitality industry, preferably in both sales and operations and at least one year of management
Exemplary communication skills
Enthusiasm and top-rate customer service skills a must
Open to a flexible schedule that includes a variety of days of the week and hours
Proficient in Apple technology and Microsoft Office
Strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to accommodate customers’ needs
Proficient in NYS health code requirements. Food safety credentials a plus
Clear and concise communication skills
Proficiency in personal computer skills and ability to learn database programs, experience with Square point-of-sale system a plus
Efficiency needed to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Excellent time management/multi-tasking/organizational skills
Self-motivation and a solution-driven approach
A team player mentality that makes working well with others, particularly during a high-volume time, a natural response
Upbeat, friendly personality
Willing to travel to Albany and Saratoga locations as needed
Open to a flexible schedule that can include days, nights and weekends.
