Job Title: Production Maintenance Technician II

Location: Scarborough, ME

Shift Schedule: Rotating Schedule 4:45 pm-5:15 am

Sunday-Tuesday with every other Sat night.

Our Scarborough, ME location is seeking a skilled Production Maintenance Technician II to join our team. In this role, you will perform routine and complex repairs and maintenance on production equipment. This includes executing tasks across multiple maintenance trades such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and both plastic and metal fabrication and repair. You will also provide troubleshooting support on production equipment, recommending both short- and long-term solutions to enhance operational efficiencies through root cause investigations related to machine downtime.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Inspections: Conduct routine, periodic, and special inspections to identify necessary repairs or corrective actions to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with company and agency regulations.

  • Equipment Change-Over: Perform production equipment change-overs as dictated by the schedule or as requested by the shift supervisor to meet departmental objectives.

  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, layouts, and wiring diagrams.

  • Documentation Preparation: Collaborate with Production Supervisors, Managers, and Engineering to prepare documentation regarding preventive maintenance and machine operation.

  • Equipment Setup: Set up and operate all equipment required to perform assigned tasks efficiently.

  • Assist External Technicians: Escort and assist outside repair personnel in fulfilling their contractual obligations.

  • Agency Testing Support: Facilitate agency testing technicians to ensure timely completion of their tasks related to production equipment.

  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records, manage spare parts inventory, and provide supervisors with information to secure necessary replacement parts or special materials for repairs.

  • Alarm Response: Respond to alarm or trouble calls as needed, maintaining a strong presence on the production floor and functioning as a key member of both the production and maintenance teams to achieve production goals.

Education and Experience You’ll Bring:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of experience and education.

  • 3+ years of related experience in a similar role.

  • Hands-on experience in electro-mechanical repair, rebuild, and field service.

  • Familiarity with formal preventive maintenance programs.

Preferred:

  • Technical Certificate as an Electro-Mechanical Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or a Technical Degree in Precision Machining and Manufacturing, Automotive Repair, or a related technical field.

  • 3+ years of experience as an electromechanical technician, particularly with automation in the medical field.

  • 3+ years of diverse experience in a high-volume production setting.

  • Prior experience in a company operating under ISO, FDA, or similar quality systems or regulations.

The base pay for this position is $22.15 – $44.25 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
