As a key leader, you will guide and support your team to deliver seamless services that contribute directly to the safety of Maine’s roads. What You’ll Do:
Inspire & Support Your Team:
Lead with empathy and focus on the development of each team member, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback that helps them succeed and feel valued.
Ensure Operational Excellence:
Oversee daily operations, ensuring that your team is equipped with the tools, training, and support they need to deliver exceptional service while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Foster Growth & Development:
Actively nurture the professional growth of your team, offering regular training, mentoring, and performance evaluations to help each individual reach their full potential.
Maintain Financial Responsibility:
Ensure accuracy in handling transactions, reporting, and deposits, while instilling a culture of accountability and transparency within the team.
Act as a Communication Bridge:
Serve as a supportive liaison between your team and other BMV departments, ensuring that everyone is aligned and empowered to achieve their goals.
Make a Difference in Your Community:
Assist thousands of members of the public with motor vehicle registrations, driver licenses, and more, ensuring their experience is efficient, helpful, and focused on road safety.

Minimum Qualifications: (Entry level knowledges, skills, and/or abilities may be acquired through, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO the following coursework/training and/or experience).
A six (6) year combination of education, training, and/or experience in business or public administration which includes at least one (1) year of experience in business management, accounting, personnel management, motor vehicle law and regulations, or related field. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
In addition, the successful candidate must pass a National Criminal Background check, including fingerprinting.
