POSITION: Program Administrator (Principal Level) for Health Sciences/Career and Technical Education (FT) (Leave Replacement/Anticipated Vacancy)ESBOCES is looking for an experienced leader who values diversity, equity and inclusion, and who has experience navigating multiple constituents, agencies and audiences to run successful programming in support of secondary and adult learners. This critical position reports to the Divisional Administrator for Career, Technical and Adult Education, and serves as a leader within the department, agency and the region to promote the development and delivery of adult education and technical programming that align with industry standard, support lifelong learning, and ensure customer satisfaction. The successful candidate creates a flexible schedule to support staff and students Monday through Friday, day and evening, throughout the school year.BUILDING: Sayville Adult Education Center, VariousQUALIFICATIONS:NYS SAS/SBL CertificationTeacher, instructional leadership, and administrative experience requiredNursing background preferredDemonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environmentRESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee all aspects of Practical Nursing, Nurse Assisting, and NYS regulated health care programmingLead and supervise adult career and technical programmingEstablish health-related partnerships to improve student outcomesFacilitate and design progressive teaching and learning opportunitiesActively recruit a diverse student and staff clientele to increase enrollment and broaden serviceSupport, direct, and supervise program staff to perform responsibilities related to teachers, career planning specialists, vocational advisors, and office personnelDevelop and expand relations with local businesses and community organizationsRepresent agency interests as a liaison across multiple audiences and platformsEffectively communicate and demonstrate strong interpersonal skillsManage multiple work streams, deadlines, and projects simultaneouslyCollect, analyze, and report on data to illustrate student success and program impact; serve as a data-driven thought leaderServe on a collaborative leadership that innovates and evolves programmingDevelop and expand new health science programs and courses related to immediate and future workforce needsSeek and apply for training grants and fundingMonitor the development and evaluation of new and existing course offerings and prepare a career pathway curriculumSTART DATE: As soon as possibleSALARY: $152,225.00Studies show that women and members of some groups are more likely to underestimate their qualifications for a position.
