Job Details:

  • Schedule: First Shift

  • Pay Rate: $52.37 per hour

Role Overview:

Under general supervision, you will be responsible for activities related to numerical control (NC) programming, including optimizing machining methods, tooling concepts, and developing programs for NC milling machines and lathes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analysis and Planning: Conduct thorough analysis of engineering and tool design drawings to determine optimal machining methods and tool selection.

  2. Collaboration: Work closely with planners, tool designers, engineers, and customers to refine manufacturing plans.

  3. NC Programming: Develop cutter motion logic, select appropriate spindle speeds and feed rates, and verify programs using Vericut.

  4. Documentation: Create detailed operator set-up sheets and develop flat pattern mylars and templates as required.

  5. Tool Design: Produce 2-D Catia tool drawings to support manufacturing processes.

Additional Functions:

  • Act as a departmental representative in discussions with other departments.

  • Assist in the development of NC policies, procedures, and specifications.

  • Engage with vendors and customers to ensure project requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Experience: At least eighteen (18) months in machining, planning, tool design, or related manufacturing experience.

  • Skills: Proficient in Catia modeling and NC Mill functions, with strong drafting, math, and geometry skills.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Pay Details: $52.37 per hour
