Job Description
Responsible for the maintaining and repairing equipment associated with the treatment of influent wastewater from the facility’s manufacturing and painting operations. Includes, pumps, valves, piping, instrumentation, dewatering equipment, mixer, chemical feed equipment, and other related equipment.
Perform Preventative Maintenance per manufacturer specifications for the (3) individual systems (East, West, and Pawnee).
Perform routine repair work and other work of a general maintenance nature.
Mechanical
Electrical
Piping
Plan and organize all maintenance work to properly maintain WWTP for Pawnee, East, and West facilities.
Evaluate maintenance needs and set priorities.
Coordinate with Maintenance for plant support, if needed.
Coordinates with contractors or subcontractors to perform maintenance work deemed to be to specialized or extensive to be performed by plant personnel.
Insures completion and/or performs routine inspections of all systems and equipment.
Document and track all Preventative Maintenance (PM), Reactive Maintenance (RM), and 5S Standard activities in Maintenance Tracking sytem
Assist in populating Maintenance Software program with required data
Create Work Orders for all PM and RM, file for documentation of work performed.
Spare parts inventory and ordering.
Communicating with vendors on parts and equipment
5S Compliance
Additionally, Maintenance Technician will assist in the batch treatment of wastewater from West production plant. This is a relatively small treatment process consisting of 20,000 gallons/month.
Job Duties include:
Chemical handling
Chemical application and dosing, including jar testing
Chrome reduction
System monitoring and control via PLC
Filter press operation
Sludge handling
Data collection
Sampling for process control and compliance
Data entry into database/log sheet
Other duties, as assigned by supervisor
