Coastal Harbor Health Systems is currently seeking a Director of Business Development/Marketing

Coastal Harbor Health System is comprised of a 114-bed hospital for children and adolescents, providing both short- and long-term inpatient care, and a 50 bed inpatient hospital serving men and women, ages 18 and up. We offer compassionate patient care to those who need it the most, serving not only local patients, but also those located across the country. Our hospitals are conveniently located in beautiful, historic Savannah, GA in a quiet setting that provides unparalleled anonymity and privacy, enabling patients to concentrate on treatment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

To achieve the desired utilization of CHHS’s continuum of care through the effective application of marketing principles and methods.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides the supervision of employees in the program. Should be available to all levels of employees for supervision. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of their program. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Responsible for employee safety by ensuring that employees utilize CHHS’s hazard communication program including access to the material safety data sheets (MSDS).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform personnel management duties including screening and selection of Marketing staff, providing department orientation and training, completing performance evaluations and giving feedback to Human Resources.

  • Develop CHHS’s favorable image, conduct market research, and analyze data as basis for marketing plan.

  • Develop and place advertisements to attract those in need of hospital services.

  • Manage sales effort and supervise the account managers by holding weekly sales meetings that are responsive in content to sales ntative needs.

  • Develop and implement hospital-wide referral development program, assisting CEO in identifying referral team members.

  • Serve as Business Development fiscal manager, adhering to FTE standards and assisting with budget.

  • Support the strategic business development efforts, complying with requests to speak publicly or make presentations regarding the hospital’s services.

  • Direct public relations effort through use of press releases, seminars, open houses, community education programs, health fairs, etc.

  • Annually review safety policies for your department to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and hospital practice.

  • Annually review the number of injuries, types and costs for your department as well as provide effective corrective action which results in reduction of accidents.

  • Annually set goals for your department and review every six months for compliance.

  • Ensure departmental safe work practices.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Support facility’s internal and external customer service standards.

    Requirements

    Master’s level with at least two years experience in admissions and marketing.
