Summary:

We are seeking a qualified, safety-minded, detail-oriented, highly organized individual with strong computer and communication skills to work as an Accountant. This position performs accounting responsibilities associated with general ledger, inventories, equipment accounting and tax activities. Uses independent judgment on a regular basis in performing job duties. Works under general supervision on responsibilities having specified standard policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute the closure of the monthly books, prepare monthly journal entries, and reconcile balance sheet accounts. Support the organization with research and analysis of financial records as directed by management. Ensure company compliance with all applicable SOX requirements. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against established targets. Monitor inventories by location and reconcile/adjust as necessary. Other responsibilities include: Enter material tickets Process material payments Coordinate physical inventory counts Book inventory adjustments Record plant production Reconcile weekly receipts Reconcile monthly inventory Provide various reporting

Qualifications 3 years of accounting experience Associate degree preferred Strong financial, and analytical problem-solving skills. Excel experience (basic functions and formulas) Possess strong organizational, analytical and communication skills, and an ability to work under pressure handling multiple and shifting priorities. Possess excellent computer skills including email, Internet, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Work Requirements Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times. Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary. Report to the office dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. Must have the ability to work without close supervision.

Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, talk and hear. Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to sit and use hands. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
