Tower Products Inc. Compliance and Quality Systems Manager in Saugerties, New York

The Compliance and Quality System Manager is responsible for prevents, detects and mitigates compliance regulatory issue and uphold the reputation of the company. Tower’s compliance system also has outside resources that need to be utilized and managed. The Compliance manger is to research, draw up and manage the Certificate of Conformity. The Compliance and Quality System Manager is also responsible for updating, creating and maintaining the Tower’s QMS (Quality Management system) and documents for all of manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:•Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating procedures related to the quality compliance department.•Utilize ERP systems. Additional training is provided. •Work with Suppliers, Vendors and compliance organizations. •On a daily basis, any problem-handling requests must be communicated to allow for additional resources to be directed to maintain customer satisfaction.•Fully understand customer QA requirements and documentation.•Provide leadership and direction during staff or department quality and compliance concerns.•Knowledge of ISO 9001.•Implement and update the quality manual distributed by Tower Products Incorporated and the Quality Policy Statement.•Coordinate, host and ensure proper follow up to internal and external audits.•Coordination and monitoring of quality system metrics.•Management of the quality compliance team.•Oversee the calibration and/or maintenance of all required equipment and tools.•Provide leadership and direction to quality department staff.•Oversee the documentation and processing of nonconformities ensuring appropriate root cause analysis, corrective action implementation and verification of effectiveness.•Perform administrative and record keeping responsibilities.•Updates senior management of product and process risks.•Oversee CAPA process.•Ensure CAPA trends are identified, address root cause and reduce recurrence rates.•Review and approve documentation.•Works directly with manufacturing to develop and implement corrective action and quality control Requirements:•Preferred Bachelor Degree Engineering or related discipline•2+ years quality control and Engineering experience in product manufacturing •Proficient computer experience•Excellent oral/written communication and interdepartmental skill•Strong mathematical skills•Demonstrated analytical abilities with a strong attention to detail•Ability to multi-task, follow up & follow through •Strong organizational skills•Effective time management•Ability to move and/or lift up to 75 lbs. - instruction required on safe lifting practices•Frequently required to walk, sit, use hands, hand tools, reach & stretch•Adhere to all guidelines for PPE, tool use, etc.•Takes pride in their workPosition Type/Expected Hours of WorkEOEJob Type: Full-timeHours: Mon - Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm Starting Salary: $60,000Entry Level Position that is Not RemoteCOVID-19 considerations:Health & Safety PolicyAdherence to CDC/State Guidance*This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
