PAINTER OF INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS Job description
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the painting of products/machines within the company. Responsible for the lining/coating of product/machines within the company. Will be cross trained in various departments within manufacturing, and work in those areas as needed. Conformance with appropriate attire (company supplied uniform) and PPE's (safety glasses, respirators, steel toed shoes, cutting gloves) is a must.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Pass a respirator fit test -Responsible for selection of the appropriate scheduled job, setting up and completion using necessary documentation -Responsible for the preparation and painting, including touch-up of product/machines -Responsible for mixing paint according to specifications -Responsible for layout, cut and application of machine lining -Responsible for mix and application of coatings (paint, primer, body filler, etc.) -Assuring all paint and paint products are in proper containers and stored safely -Disposition of used paint supplies in properly marked containers -Responsible for identifying and bringing any non-conformities to the attention of the Shop Foreman -Maintenance of a clean work area daily (work area and guns), weekly (entire area) and changing the spray booth filters as needed -Perform in-process inspections for coverage and quality
MINIMUM EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE: -Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required -Minimum of two (2) years' experience in painting machinery. Industrial coating and automotive coating experience is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
