<p><strong>OVERVIEW &amp; JOB DESCRIPTION</strong></p>

<p>The Store Manager contributes to the success of Birch Lane by inspiring customers to embrace our Classic Style for Joyful Living. As a leader, you will create a culture that promotes a relentless customer focus to deliver all financial responsibilities. You will blend business acumen, operational knowledge, and great design to drive results while building high-performing teams.</p>

<p><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO&nbsp;</strong></p>

<p>• Provide leadership to achieve or exceed budgeted sales, payroll, and controllable expense goals.&nbsp;<br>• Ensure the team delivers a relentless customer focus; Train and motivate all associates in sales, service, and product knowledge.&nbsp;<br>• Assesses performance and provides coaching and feedback using the appropriate levels of direction and support; Completes and delivers performance appraisals and development plans.&nbsp;<br>• Establish and manage recruiting strategies to build a talent pipeline to fill all open roles.&nbsp;<br>• Create and maintain a culture that achieves a respectful work environment where individual differences are valued and appreciated. <br>• Prioritize, plan, and adjust schedules and daily agendas to meet business goals; hold the team accountable for achieving goals. <br>• Maintain presence through effective floor management and ensure staff coverage in all areas of the store as needed. <br>• Model and ensure all policies and procedures are communicated effectively, maintained, and consistently followed. <br>• Work with Area Manager and peers to develop best practices in store management. <br>• Additional responsibilities as assigned.</p>

<p><strong>WHAT YOU'LL NEED<br><br></strong>• 4 + years of management experience in specialty retail and/or multi-unit retail business environment. <br>• Proven ability to manage staff to exceed sales goals, while achieving payroll goals. <br>• Proven ability to motivate and influence others through personal actions and examples. <br>• Proven ability to identify top talent, create teams, and train/develop/retain great people. <br>• Proven ability to think through complex issues and allocate time to execute multiple tasks and changing priorities. <br>• Effective verbal and written communication, organization, and leadership skills <br>• Full-time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business. <br>• Employment/promotion to this role will be contingent on the successful completion of a background check and drug test.</p>

<p>• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; regularly climb or balance; and frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
