Amazon Team Lead - Instock Manager, BR Books Instock in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) is a service that aims to help brands and strategic partners to develop sustainably with Amazon. AVS helps Amazon partners to grow in a sustainable way, in addition to increasing the availability and discovery of their products. The Supply Chain Team of specialists specializes in helping partners with operational challenges to better align their logistics processes with Amazon, analyze supply chain problems, and develop sustainable solutions to avoid financial losses and bring the best experience to our customers. In this position, you will report to the category operations management leader and work to build the Key Account Supply Chain strategy. You will be responsible for leading inventory forecasting planning, execution of purchases, and operational improvement of projects, acting as a key point of contact for inventory management for a supplier segment. You will work on identifying opportunities to simplify and automate tasks, ensuring that inventory systems and processes meet business needs, and implementing controls over these. The ideal person will have the energy to deal with an environment in which tactical and strategic activities will take place in parallel.

In this position, you will manage a team of SVS Instock Managers that are responsible for medium to high complexity vendors. You will also be responsible for medium to high impact projects, reaching AVS Supply Chain specialists in your category.

Key job responsibilities

  • Partner with Instock Managers, Account Managers and key retail category functions to define priorities and operational goals according to vendor needs;

  • Manage supplier's main operating results, developing performance improvement plans;

  • Analyze the supply chain operation using data and identifying the causes of operational problems (inventory turnover, inventory availability, overstock, forecasting, inbound, and other metrics);

  • Definition of joint action plans with partners to eliminate Supply Chain defects and carry out regular progress reviews with suppliers to create sustainable long-term results;

  • Suggest process improvements and assist internal partners to drive them to completion.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Become a POC of issues correlated to Instock with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with other GLs and global team;

  • Connect with partner business teams, peers, and stakeholders to understand and align business opportunities;

  • Analyze, create, and manage supplier performance and performance at Amazon events;

  • Identify opportunities to improve tools and systems for the AVS-ISM program;

  • Identify opportunities to simplify or automate tasks, executing opportunities involving basic software applications. (for example, Excel).

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS required (preferential engineering, business or supplychain/logistic);

  • Experience in Supply Chain, Inventory management and Commercial Planning;

  • Strong analytical ability, affinity with numbers, and problem solving ability;

  • Verbal and written communication skills are essential.

  • Strong management skills, including prioritization, scheduling, and time management;

  • Advanced English - communication and writing.

  • Advanced Excel.

  • People Management Skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL;

  • Experience with data panels (QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, QlikSense);

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen;

  • Experience with financial/qualitative analysis
