Amazon Strategic Account Manager, Amazon 3P in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Strategic Account Manager to lead and grow our Books category within Amazon Marketplace. This role will be responsible for owning the 3P (third-party) Books category strategy while also managing key strategic accounts. The ideal candidate will drive category growth, enhance seller relationships, and optimize the overall Books marketplace ecosystem. Additionally, this role will play a crucial part in supporting and driving the launch of new product features designed to improve the category's performance and user experience. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of innovation, balancing category management, account relationships, and product development to ensure the continued success and evolution of the Books category on Amazon Marketplace.

Key job responsibilities

Develop and execute the strategic vision for the 3P Books category on Amazon Marketplace;

Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform category strategy;

Set and achieve ambitious growth targets for the Books category;

Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the customer experience and increase selection;

Manage a portfolio of high-value strategic accounts within the Books category;

Create and implement account-specific growth plans to drive mutual business success;

Attract and onboard new high-quality sellers to expand the Books category;

Identify and resolve seller pain points to improve the overall marketplace experience;

Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Books category and strategic accounts;

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions;

Collaborate with data analytics teams to generate actionable insights;

Represent the 3P Books category in internal meetings and strategic planning sessions;

Attend and potentially speak at relevant industry events and conferences;

Collaborate with product and tech teams to identify, prioritize, and support the development of new features that enhance the Books category;

Create and execute launch plans for new features in 3P, ensuring seamless integration and maximum impact for the Books category;

Measure and report on the success of new feature launches, recommending optimizations as needed;

Work closely with the 1P Books team to align strategies and ensure a complementary approach between 1P and 3P offerings.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 5+ years of sales or marketing work (like e-commerce, retail technology, SaaS) or equivalent experience

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach

  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple levels of an organization

  • Proven track record of driving business growth and managing high-value partnerships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level

  • Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent
