Responsibilities - You will do:

  • To support the RTO team in performing feasibility studies, design implementation of projects in line with objectives including continuous improvement of margin, customer satisfaction, schedule, working capital and safety performance. Provide documentation and train costumer Process Technicians, Operators and maintenance.

  • Act as technical interface with customers, establishing professional relationships to ensure that the project requirements are fully defined and agreed.

  • Ensure that the engineered solution meets project requirements in terms of functionality, standards, quality, and supporting documentation and implementation process at minimum. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems that arise during project execution

  • Monitor and control assigned work scope against the project plan, ensure effective change control and identifies risks / opportunities

  • Reviewing process flow diagrams and P&IDs, and contributing to process discussions; completing database or schematic changes, implementing complex calculations for data analysis, manipulating data files and collections lists accurately.

  • Actively contribute in the pre-engineering phase of a project. Such as identify to the customer which information is required before project starts.

  • Assist sales organization in seeking project and business opportunities, defining and estimating the engineering/technical scope of work, proposal preparation, man-hour estimates, and sales presentations.

  • Assist and eventually participate on other AVEVA Project Areas.

Skills/Knowledge - You will have:

  • Chemical Engineering Bachelor Degree

  • English proficiency (Verbal and written).

  • 5 to 8+ years of related industry experience with an Engineering Degree (Process Optimization, Process Control, Chemical or related area)

  • Knowledge of any chemical process simulation commercial tools (AVEVA Process Optimizer, AVEVA PRO/II, AVEVA Dynamic Simulation, Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, etc)

  • Basic overall plant process and operations knowledge for Refining and Petrochemical Units

  • Domain of Microsoft Office Tools, mainly MS-EXCEL

  • Basic Concepts of any structured programming language (i.e. TCL, Python, VBA, etc)

A PLUS:

  • Fluency in Spanish

  • Good Knowledge of Process Control and Multi Variable Control (MVC), Process inferential

  • Knowledge in Advance Solutions products and implementation processes, standards and practices

  • Knowledge of MS-SQL

  • Knowledge of AVEVA PI and AVEVA PI VISION
