General Motors Connected Vehicles (OnStar) Data Analyst in Sao Caetano do Sul, Brazil

Job Description

Hybrid: Work physically at General Motors 3 times per week (TUE-THU)

Role:

We are seeking customer-focused professionals to join our Connected Vehicles team at General Motors (OnStar team). As a crucial part of our mission, these positions offer a unique opportunity to shape the customer experience in an innovative and dynamic environment. Main responsibilities are:

  • Handle end-to-end OnStar Tickets (tickets raised via Call Center to solve customer complaints) and act proactively to avoid customer impact.

  • Monitoring OnStar service´s health in general.

  • Daily vehicle transactional activities monitoring, driving performance improvements via changes to the Hardware/Wireless Network/BackOffice.

  • Manage interactions with other OnStar areas (for ex. Call Center and Carrier Teams).

  • The role demands a professional to be part of a rotational basis schedule “On Call” (24x7 accessibility via phone).

Additional Job Description

Qualifications and Skills (Mandatory):

  • Complete graduation, desirable in areas such as Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or related.

  • Fluent English communication skills (speak/listen/read/write)

  • SQL and data extraction / preparation.

  • Power BI knowledge (and others BI tools desirable) and overview data visualization.

  • Analytical thinking.

  • Problem resolution end-to-end capability.

  • Strong customer focus (responding tickets daily basis).

  • Ability to understand critical business requirements and their technical implications on IT Systems and interfaces.

  • Ability to identify repetitive tasks and make them automated processes & routines.

  • Monitors & dashboards´ daily continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Spanish communication skills.

  • Experience in Hadoop, Microsoft Azure and Python would be considered a differential.

  • Experience working with Telecom industry: Equipment/software vendors, Carriers (Cellular services providers),

  • Knowledge of Celular telecomunication technologies (3G, 4G LTE, VoLTE).

  • Automotive industry.
