Job Description
Danfoss México is looking for a Strategic Buyer for the Power Solution’s Global Procurement Organization to ensure that our suppliers deliver and improve on all parameters and, most importantly, on time. You will be responsible for a range of strategic procurement activities to ensure supplier performance and development on both short and long-term basis. In doing so, you will be working across several global functions and serve as the link between Supply Chain and external suppliers.
In this position, you need to use your excellent analytical and communication skills to be able to find compromises between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests. This role will support the operations working from Reynosa or Queretaro Plant.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
As our new Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for a range of strategic procurement activities to ensure supplier performance and development on both short- and long-term basis. In doing so, you will be working across several globally operating functions and in particularly serve as the link between Supply Chain and external suppliers. Your key responsibilities will be:
The first escalation point for supply and quality issues including documentation of supplier performance.
Driving capacity management towards suppliers.
Supporting the categories in monitoring forecast versus supplier capacities.
Coordinate ramp up and ramp down in new projects.
Driving Supplier Logistic Agreements with our suppliers together with Supply Chain and Category.
Conducting supplier workshops together with Supply Chain to improve “On time delivery”.
To coordinate Production Parts Approval Process for changes and new projects.
Drive minor projects e.g. cost-down projects.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another relevant area.
Several years of experience in implementation of sourcing strategies for different spend categories.
Experience in one or more spend categories as Sourcing Specialist (turned parts, raw materials, machined parts, castings, forgings, coils, rubber, etc.) is an advantage.
Experience in negotiation is an advantage.
Good knowledge of reading technical drawings.
Technical experience with processes within machining.
Experience in Problem-solving tools.
Experience in SAP and Office package (Excel, PowerPoint).
Fluent in written and spoken English.
