Job Description
Danfoss is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for our plant in Queretaro. As Manufacturing Engineer you will be to elaborate and to continuously improve the manufacturing processes, supporting the utilization of the defined processes and reducing production costs.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Collaborate on the application of the processes to the different sectors of the factory
Actively participate on the Definition of the conditions of machining and / or assembly for each operation of the processes
Elaborate operating programs for machining on CNC machines and / or machining operations equipment
Manage FMEA of manufacturing processes for internally machined parts and / or assembly operations
Calculate and defines dimensions and tolerances for cutting of parts, machinery, clamping and checking devices, sequence of operations, over material and supporting material required and / or assembly parameters for assembly equipment
Support and/or participate on Continuous Improvement Activities such as: Kaizen, Ideas Programs, cost out and/or demonstrate improvements in goals year over year in our processes or practices aligned to achieve or business goals and/objectives.
Produce estimates or quotations for new product. Elaborate technical studies involving new processes, tools and equipment;
Study modifications, recoveries, adaptations and complements of machines, tools, devices and equipment, aiming at improving the quality of the product and reducing the operational cost.
Ensure activities are in compliance with the QMS and quality policy and also aligned with the strategic direction of the organization and business context.

2 -4 years experience in a similar role (Metla Mechanic Industry)
Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical, Industrial, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
Fluent English
Inventory management & production plan's analysis
Knowledge in industrial standards and regulations
CAD and G&T knowledge
Wide knowledge in cutting tools, cutting conditions and clamping/fixtures
Hydraulic general knowledge for pumps and motors
Lean & continuous improvement tools ( Pareto, SMED, Kanban, 8W, VSM, Takt time, Poka Yoke, Jidoka, Andon, visual factory, etc.)
Experience on manufacturing processes ( Machining, grinding, HT, special processes, etc.)
Knowledge on CNC programming and automation processes
Material properties and implications in the industry
Structured problem solving (PDCA, 8D, 5W +2H, Ishikawa, Matrix XY, DMAIC, etc.)
Knowledge in Six Sigma, SPC and MSA
Use and manage FMEA
Manufacturing material flow knowledge (VSM, Bottle neck, pacemaker, etc.)
