The Rewarded Ads team is building a new and exciting product offering that enable advertisers to offer rewards to consumers when they shop on Amazon. This is an exciting direction in the Advertising world as it creates a win-win for both the advertisers and consumers. As a new, fast growing advertisement product, Rewarded Ads Team offers unique opportunity for innovation, growth, as well as start-up like environment.

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Software Engineer passionate about leading development of scalable and maintainable software. As technical leader, you will collaborate with Product Manager, Software Development Managers, and Amazon Advertising teams on setting technical vision, design, implementation, delivery, and operations of various features within Rewarded Ads. This is a great opportunity to influence direction of technology development, engineering culture, and day to day practices. As Sr. Engineer, you'll guide and mentor the development team in so-called best software development practices and Amazon's day one culture, raising the bar for innovation, creativity, quality, and customer obsession.

Rewarded Ads is a quickly evolving product build on top of modern tech stack. We have high potential to identify opportunities for new ad products, experiment, incubate and scale the most successful ideas. Our products change the way advertisers interact with Amazon Advertising. We are low on high-severity ticket workload and expect you to build mechanisms to keep it that way.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

  • Experience in Ads technology and product

  • Experience in building and integrating with high-scale services

  • Knowledge of software development methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in a developer role

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
