UCLA Health Senior Orthopaedic Technician in Santa Monica, California
Description
The UCLA Santa Monica Hospital is seeking to
hire a full-time Sr. Orthopaedic Technician to join our Orthopaedic Surgery
Department. You will providing assistance to patients and physicians in the
full scope of Orthopaedic services. Primary duties include:

Interviewing and reviewing patient's medical history and ensure
documentation is completed

Fitting, applying, adjusting, removing, repairing, wedging, and
windowing of casts (may be of plaster, fiberglass, or synthetic materials)

Applying, adjusting, and removing of braces, splints (knee, elbow,
ankle, Pavlik, etc)

Removing sutures and staples

Assisting in OR as first assistant or scrub tech

Completing routine patient care tasks so physicians and other
clinic staff can attend to other clinical and administrative functions.

Other administrative tasks as assigned
Please note: the work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 11am-8pm
Salary Range: $32.77/hr - $43.21/hr
Qualifications
Orthopaedic Technician Certification (NBCOT or ASOP)
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a hospital, clinic, or
medical office setting with orthopaedic patients
Previous cast/splinting experience
Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Ability to triage medical problems within scope of job
responsibilities
Ability to work as part of a team, establishing and maintaining
cooperative working relationships with all staff members, management, and the
public
Strong communication skills (verbally and writing)
Skill in working independently and prioritizing assignments
