Under the general supervision of the pharmacy
supervisor/pharmacist, the Hospital Lab Technician II (HLT II) assists in
all activities required for ensuring patient access to
medications. Major duties include processing of prescriptions,
preparation of medications, prior authorization, financial assistance, refill
authorizations, medication preparation and patient outreach within
applicable policies, procedures and regulations
Schedule: Varied hours, depending on department needs, including
weekends and holidays
Hourly Salary Range: $32.77 - 43.22 (Union represented, step based
salary depending on years of experience)
Bargaining Unit: EX - AFSCME
Qualifications
We're seeking a strong pharmacy technician with:
1.
Pharmacy Technician License in the State of California in good
standing
2.
Available to work various shifts and locations including nights,
weekends, and/or holidays.
3.
Ability to speak with persons of various social, cultural,
economic and educational backgrounds to obtain information and explain
procedures.
4.
Typing skill to prepare prescription labels with speed and
accuracy.
5.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working
relationships with fellow technicians, pharmacists, volunteers and individuals
in other work areas, and in a high volume under the stress of frequent
interruptions and/or distractions.
6.
Skill in performing repetitive work according to set procedures
and sequence.
7.
Strong communication, organizational, prioritizing, and
follow-through skills
