The US Integrated Insights team is the data and metrics engine driving insights to support US planning and implementation. The team has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director of Market Planning focused on supporting Multiple Myeloma in preparation for Anito-cel launch.

The Associate Director of Market Planning will participate actively in commercial efforts by providing an impartial and detailed understanding of current and future markets, product performance, customers and our competition. Internally known as the Associate Director of Market Research, the Incumbent will also be responsible for generating foundational market understanding within the Cell Therapy area through the implementation of market research and forecasting activities. This is a hybrid role (3 days per week in the office) based in either our HQ in Santa Monica, CA or Foster City, CA.

Key Responsibilities of Associate Director of Market Planning – US Integrated Insights: Multiple Myeloma include:

Market Insight Generation:

  • Strategic thought partner to translate complex business problems into high-level analyticssolution designs and provide comprehensive market/customer insights that guides launch readiness and implementation

  • Independently lead projects, collaborate with cross-functional team and stakeholders to scope, design and manage the implementation of qualitative and quantitative market research and/or analytical studies (e.g., HCP segmentation, ATUs, demand studies, message testing, patient journey)

  • Leverage and integrate results of research, competitive intelligence, customer data, market knowledge, secondary analytics and reports, modelling and other sources to articulate actionable recommendations and drive critical business decisions

  • Manage vendors to determine appropriate research methodology, ensure project alignment to business goals and guide implementation and reporting

Commercial Activity and Performance Tracking:

  • Identify and measure key drivers and metrics (KPIs) to ensure cross functionalvisibility on performance, brand goals, and sales & marketing results

  • Partner with stakeholders and data solutions team to standardize reporting

  • Conduct and present diagnostic analysis to explain variances, trends and/or relationships

Forecasting:

  • Work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Finance and Sales Analytics to design and implement statistical analyses and customized, evidence-based forecast models

  • Produce analogues, formulate assumptions and define opportunities and risks associated with the forecast

  • Conduct forecast scenario analysis to inform and support decisions by cross-functional partners (e.g., Commercial key team members, Marketing, Finance)

  • Provide guidance and input for short-term demand planning

  • Synthesize market dynamics to identify potential drivers impacting performance and developcommunications materials to inform marketing and sales decisions

  • Able to assume full responsibility for accuracy and reliability of analyses

General:

  • Effectively partner with and communicate to key stakeholder groups to support strategic and tactical choice making (e.g., opportunity assessments, brand planning) with insightful analysis that accurately and objectively reflect the current market dynamics, product performance, customers, and competitors to improve the potential of cell therapy

  • Act as a liaison between Kite and Arcellx teams to cultivatealignment on project plans, forecast outputs and market insights

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate and 2+ years of experience

OR

Master’s Degree and 8+ years of experience

OR

Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience

OR

Associate Degree and 10+ years of experience

OR

High School Diploma/GED and 12+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in forecasting and market research within the biotech / pharmaceutical industry

  • Understanding of the hematology / oncology clinical landscape and the business of cell therapy

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally

  • Excellentcommunication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment, with changing priorities and significant time pressures

  • Strategic agility to adapt expertise in forecasting and primary market research to a biopharmaceutical field where standard frameworks do not exist

  • Demonstrated ability to extract business insights and provide strategic recommendations based on analysis findings

The salary range for this position is: $173,910.00 - $225,060.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
